The Art of Presence: Practices for the Time of Lent

Note: this is not another devotional. Not another Bible study to do on your own time. In some ways it is less than that and in some ways it is more than that. 

This is an invitation to a weekly spiritual practice hoping to rediscover the heart of the Lenten season. Each week in Lent you will be invited to try on a different "practice": Rest, Breath Prayer, Contemplation, Letting Go, Fasting, and Community. 

These practices can be tried on for short periods but the invitation is for a full-bodied, whole-life chance to walk in the spirit of Lent—the season in which the church has leaned in to the waiting and the longing for the hope of Jesus to be revealed. 

These practices are not formulae for the faithful but humble attempts for the humans among us. Join us this season!
